I bought this paddle for a recent Baja surf trip to where I don't want to risk one of my more expensive paddles in transport. to compare, I also have a carbon blade/fiberglass shaft Quickblade and Werner full carbon. Here are my thoughts: Pros:-it is extremely lightweight. out my three blades, my Werner full carbon is considerably lighter, but this paddle is only slightly heavier than the Quickblade-handle is very comfortable. -Rowed very well. I noticed that flex, but that was expected. -the clamp is nice for quick adjustments against:-Blade-heavy but expected. -Downturns, but again, expected adjustment clamp is not the most ideal personally. because you externally from the tree when switching hands paddle, sometimes it is annoying to hit it. did tighten the screws for a secure grip, but note that a pair of opening and closing times are enough to loosen them up a bit. I may put some loctite on them to keep them a little longer. -It would also be nice to have some sort of mark on knowing when to clamp the handle and blade are lined up with each other. ended up putting a sign on the Terminal with a silver marker to align with the white lines of the crank shaft height. problem solved. so, I recommend this paddle? Yes. for the money, I have not seen anything close. I will surely have to travel around as it is a paddle ideal to give to friends for use without much concern.

large shovel!!! Feels a lot lighter than I expected. the locking mechanism adjustable height is easy to use and feels solid. the handle has a nice atmosphere and good grip. the tree has a nice atmosphere even when your hands are wet. was not slippery. the cover page of paddle is really nice and we would protect the paddle. My son and daughter both use this paddle in the open ocean off redondo while SUPing with humpback whales and have never had a problem. they were able to adjust the paddle to fit their height without my help.

I have never written a review before but this lead is worth a note. I use a 11 ft sup as a surfboard and took in some rough airwaves with this leash. This I removed twice. I was able to learn a few things after my first website as SUP comes without instructions: http://www.towerpaddleboards.com/v/faq.htm the gauge not start recording until the PSI is quite high. It is very important to make sure that the spring is up when swells SUP, otherwise you will lose all the air as soon as you remove the pump. I discovered that the inflation to 15 PSI is best, but physically have a hard time once pumping is past 10 PSI. I bought an electric pump that I think will help me. Once inflated, it's quite stable and durable. you need to find the sweet spot on the Board, when in front of or behind you under water. Once you find that, it's pretty easy to keep balance. I'm really happy with my purchase and I can't wait to take it out more this summer. I hope this helps!

Maybe it's on the heavy side, that I really don't know as I've never used a higher performance model but I like the building and seems well built. it floats! Is very long, gets a good bite still in water and is convenient to use. I am 6 ' so my optimal length paddle is about 6 ' 6 "or about 6 inches above your head, so unless you are over 8 ' tall this paddle can be adjusted according to your needs. adjusting torsion Strait allows you to easily adjust the length of the paddle and when protected hand tight the T-handle is rigid and not easily twist, as some have reported. the paddle breaks down for storage in a point under the tight control of twist, a connection button is push and pull apart which is very safe and not likely to accidentally come apart. the headstock has a nice angle that allows a vertical insertion when reaching towards the nose of the Board for a full paddle stroke. I am a strong paddler can I pull hard for speed and this paddle has never felt fragile or weak. only had a few weeks but so far so good.
