I could definitely see this as delaying the theft. If someone really wanted to steal your Board, this probably would not stop them at all. However, I like the peace of mind it gives for a quick run to a store. Note: I've also reviewed finbox locks. for one of my boards (PSH Paddleboard) does not lock in finbox. I think that depends only on finbox construction.
